Dear Family & Friends,

I've become involved (as a volunteer, friend of) in an endeavour that I think is important and much needed, and I'd like to ask your help in a small way. I hope you won't mind taking about one minute to read on...

The dream is to open a Cancer Wellness Centre in the West Island of Montreal.

I know cancer has touched most of your lives in some way, either as a patient or a support person to someone you love. So you know how tough, confusing, frightening, and often lonely the journey through it can be… so, the Centre's focus will be on helping all people who are being touched by cancer in some way along their life journey—from diagnosis to outcome—by providing (completely free of charge) moral support, professional services, many programs, and research tools. I'm attaching a bit more information about what the Centre will be and offer is attached.

If you find this project as worthy and necessary as I do, maybe you'll donate as I did. They ask a minimum donation of only $25 to become part of the "Founding Family" of the West Island Cancer Wellness Center and you'll receive:

• An Inspiration Leaf magnet to display indoors.
• Your name on their website, listed as a member of the "WICWC Genesis Club" (unless you request anonymity)
• Your name posted in the center as an Original Founding Member
• Periodic e-mail updates (if you wish) to let you know our progress
• Invitation to the grand opening

And, if you'd like you can "Pay It Forward" like I'm doing by forwarding this email and attachment to a few of your friends and family.

They're also looking for cancer survivors to form a focus group to help guide their services and volunteers if you or someone you know would be interested.
